Be part of what helps young people thrive
At Beacon House, volunteers are not on the sidelines. They are trusted partners in the lives of young people.
Our work is grounded in relationships, consistency, and care. Whether you’re supporting students as a tutor in our Education Labs, mentoring adolescents, or showing up for youth as a coach on the field, volunteering at Beacon House means contributing to a community where young people feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow.
We offer meaningful volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups, and organizations who want to make a real, lasting impact during the hours when it matters most.

Outreach & Community Engagement
Outreach volunteers help extend Beacon House’s reach beyond our walls by sharing our mission, connecting us to new partners, and supporting community engagement efforts. These roles strengthen visibility, relationships, and access to opportunity for youth and families.
Volunteer testimonials
“My working experience in Beacon House is a mix of joy and challenge. To be honest, getting these 4th graders I work with to settle down is not an easy task. They are at that lively age, and their energy never seems to run out. However, within this liveliness lies creativity and talents, and Beacon House has been doing its best to explore these talents in the children. During Black History Month, every child completed an individual project and gave a public presentation about it. Some students did handicrafts inspired by Black inventors, some students drew illustrations, and some made posters for Black historical figures. This proves that Beacon House's effort to guide children's talent into solid skills has not come in vain. I look forward to seeing these kids' next step. Actually, there are already some good signs for the upcoming poetry project!”
“Working at Beacon House this semester has been such a joy for me. It has given me something to genuinely look forward to every week. Getting to know each child individually, their personalities, their little quirks, and the way they light up when I walk in has been incredibly rewarding. Their excitement, their energy, and even the small everyday moments we share have made such an impact on me. It is something I did not fully expect but am so grateful for. It has been such a meaningful and fulfilling experience to be a part of their lives, even in a such a small way, and it is something I will carry with me moving forward. I truly hope to return next year and continue building these relationships.”
"Working with the kindergarteners is such a joy. Each day, they greet everyone with bright smiles and warm hugs, making each day brighter. Their enthusiasm and kindness makes every moment special, and it's rewarding being a part of their growth and learning."
