Each summer, Beacon House provides a 6-7 week, low-cost summer camp experience to 125 children, ages 5-13, called “Summer Adventures at Beacon House: Create. Explore. Discover.” Summer Adventures combines fun with learning. We use active, hands-on activities to build reading, writing, math, and language arts skills. The children also learn about world cultures, how to work in various art forms, engage in activities such as yoga for kids, play and learn music, take field trips to the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival, Discovery Theatre, the Holocaust Museum, go swimming, and much, much more.
Camp generally runs the end of June through the first week of August.
